From Philippines here. We have Manananggal stories out here. At morning its a human being but during night its upper torso separates from its lower body part and wings would appear. And it would hunt pregnant women.

I'm Filipino and I screamed inside when he mentioned the Manananggal. When I was 8, those things gave me nightmares
This was fine until he spoke about Twilight vampires, they don't deserve to be part of vampire mythology.
I would volunteer myself as a foodif it's Shu.

I'm sorry but I can't watch this video because of the way this guy talks.
Loved it to the very end
Mananangal is in Philippine and other types of vampires
So this what humans think of us.
The mirror element in the vampire myths is not entirely invented by Bram Stoker. It is actually reversed in the Eastern European mythology. In Eastern European cultures, the mirror can be seen as a window to the afterlife. The mirrors in one's home are being covered with a black sheet for 40 days after the death of a family member, because it is believed that you can see the dead person(turned into a vampire) in the reflection of the mirror. So Stoker basically tweaked the original myth and reversed it.
I screamed when I heard 'Philippine Mananangal' πŸ˜‚
This is BS. Unless people experience something they will believe.
MANANANGGAL dont sucks blood they eat human
Beware of the Filipino Vampire though, the farther it sounds, the closer it is
I wonder if the vampire were disappointed when they know about The Twilight... I am.

Mananaggal are not vampires there just eating babies
There should be something abt the fact that the gemora (talmud) says a certain type of bat after 28 years turns into a demond that looks like a person
I thought Mananaggals were the worst... till I saw that Penananggal...
Hahahaha manananggal
This guy has a really good vampire accent! Does no one notice this?????!!!!!!!!!!???!!??!!?
Love the art
Not gonna lie, the accent made it hard to pay attention. If it were a real "broadly Eastern European" accent and not "bleh I'm a vampire bleh!" I could've focused more. Great info though.
Actually, the story about vampires, comes from Serbia, it is the most famous Serbian word, and many stories about vampires are present in Serbian folklore
The REAL vampires are mosquito's, leeches, the three species of vampire bat, and if I recall it right, I believe there is also a few blood sucking fish.
What an accent! My ears are blooding.
How did you come up with strigois from the strain ?
Mananangals kill the baby inside the mommy's tomb because it has long tongue
